Intern Architect – OC Architecture Inc.

Starting Pay Range:

From $55,000 - $70,000

Job Description:

• Masters Degree, or equivalent
• Between 2-4 years of architectural experience
• Possess proficiency in Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, Autocad, and Microsoft
• Have strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to express your ideas through sketching, rendering, modeling
• Have a critical eye for quality, strong attention to detail, and the ability to produce high quality, accurate drawings to facilitate permit packages and construction documents

Creative duties:
• Assist in creation of design elements and applications for client projects
• Provide general design services, as outlined in the Intern role and Professional Practice Handbook, as mandated by the AIBC, including administrative tasks and project management
• Participate in all phases of a design project; Pre-design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration
• Participate and provide feedback in internal and client facing meetings

Technical duties:
• Produce high quality, accurate renderings, drawings, drafting and details to facilitate permit packages and construction documents
• Research materials and design applications for projects
• Work both independently and in an integrated project delivery format with consultants and contractors
• Provide project management services to internal team members and consultants as required of the project scope
• Work with digital and non-digital media to support project presentations including: model making, sketching, rendering, and drawing

Must be registered with the AIBC.
