Architectural Technologist – Alan Lowe Architect Inc.

Job Description:

Alan Lowe Architect Inc. is looking to hire an Architectural Technologist to support our office needs.  Working under the direction of the Project Architect, the technologist will be responsible for contract documents and construction administration.  A deep knowledge of the BC Building Code, building construction, and working with consultants is important and required.

Key responsibilities:

Review and take design development drawings into contract documents

Produce accurate coordinated drawings for tender and construction

Be responsible for construction administration and resolve issues with contractors

Coordinate work with sub-consultants

Code review and municipal bylaw analysis

Communicate well with all involved

Minimum Qualifications

5 to 10 years professional experience in an architectural office

Working knowledge of AutoCad and Sketch-up

Strong understanding of BC Building Code

Strong communication and organizational skills

Must be registered with the AIBC
