Architect – Continuum Architecture Inc.

Job Description:

Continuum Architecture Inc. is seeking a collaborative and experienced Architect to join us in our Victoria office and to help turn our clients’ visions into built reality.

This is a senior leadership role for an architect who enjoys being involved throughout the full project lifecycle, from early ideas and design concepts to digital models, technical documents, approvals and construction. The successful candidate will be an approachable leader and skilled solution-finder who brings sound professional judgement, strong technical knowledge and pride in a job well done.

Demonstrated experience leading project teams is essential. The Architect will guide internal team members, coordinate consultants, build strong client relationships and help ensure projects are delivered successfully.

Qualifications

• Registered with the Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC)
• At least 10 years of relevant architectural experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading architectural projects and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong knowledge of applicable federal, provincial and municipal building codes, standards and approval processes.
• Experience preparing and coordinating architectural documentation through all project phases.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Strong client relationship, communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational, decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining technical accuracy and attention to detail.

Assets

• Experience mentoring architects, intern architects and architectural technologists.
• Passive House, Built Green, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), or another relevant sustainability certification.
• Experience delivering both public- and private-sector projects.
• Familiarity with approval processes and construction practices in Greater Victoria and Vancouver Island.
