We have an immediate opportunity for an Intermediate Interior Designer to join our team! Job Description:
What You’ll Do
As an Intermediate Interior Designer, you will:
- Collaborate on and lead interiors projects, including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, and design development.
- Develop space planning concepts and prepare program documents.
- Participate in the selection of furniture systems, finishes, and specifications.
- Provide project team coordination for finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction.
- Work closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met on schedule and within budget.
- Participate in construction administration, including reviewing submittals and finish samples.
- Assist in managing client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination.
- Contribute to office culture through initiatives, collaboration, and learning programs.
What you Bring
Technical & Professional Skills
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp (required).
- Strong graphic presentation skills using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with Bluebeam, Lumion, and/or Enscape (considered an asset).
- Ability to coordinate project documentation, including finished plans, specifications, and material selections.
Education & Experience
- Degree or diploma in Interior Design from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Canada, preferably within an architectural firm.
- Registered Interior Designer (RID) designation, or actively working toward registration.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-based environment.
- Strong client relationship and coordination abilities.
- Creative problem-solving and design thinking skills.
