From $100,000.00 - $135,000.00
Job Description:
We are looking for a self-motivated and talented Senior Architect to join our dynamic and rapidly growing organization. There is real potential for growth in the company for the right candidate.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Duties and experience include but are not limited to the following:
- Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD 2024, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and SketchUp
- Ability to monitor the design process from conceptual produce a complete set of working drawings and details is a must
- Responsible for technical resolution and coordination for a defined portion of a project
- Knowledge of B.C.B.C. and V.B.B.L.
- Familiarity with Tenant Improvement practices considered an asset.
- Familiarity with the application process of D.P. and B.P.
- Knowledge of wood, steel and concrete construction.
- Concrete Tilt-Up experience is an asset.
- Experience with municipalities, and being able to handle building permit submission, applications, and responding to municipalities.
- Experience in coordinating drawings with consultants.
- Experience in construction administration phase.
- Knowledge of LEED would be an asset.
- Capable of taking the lead on projects, direct others, seal documentation and drawings.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Professional communication and fluent in English.
- To check work of others for accuracy and completeness and manage team to meet project budget and schedule.
- Good organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Serves as a mentor, instructor, and coach to design staff, aiming to develop and guide them throughout their careers.
- Support Business Development activities, including marketing proposals, interview, conference attendance, etc.
Qualifications
- Degree in Architecture & Registered Architect.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience. Local or North American experience would be an asset.
Architect must be registered with the AIBC.
