Please ensure that postings meet the following guidelines:
- Heading descriptions are to be consistent with body text.
- Only those individuals registered with the AIBC as an “Architect”, “Intern Architect”, “Architectural Technologist” may use the reserved title prescribed to them, including when advertising for a position.
- Job postings seeking professionals holding reserved titles and designations, including Architect, Architectural Technologist, and Intern Architect, must include the following statement:
“Must be registered with the AIBC” - The AIBC will not publish submissions that are in non-compliance with Regulatory Guidance: Right to Title. For example, advertisements for the following “unofficial” job titles are not accepted:
- Architectural Designer;
- Architectural Technician; or
- Architectural Draftsperson.

- Please note that effective November 1, 2023, all employers in B.C. must include the expected pay or the expected pay range for a specific job opportunity that they advertise publicly. To adhere to the Pay Transparency Act legislation, the expected pay range is a mandatory field in all AIBC Classifieds postings.

By submitting a posting to AIBC Classifieds, all advertisers confirm that their posting is accurate and in compliance with the Professional Governance Act, Architects Regulation, Regulatory Guidance: Right to Title, AIBC Bylaws, and Schedule A: Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, including satisfying the requirements pertaining to accurate representation of professional qualifications, status, title, and project credit. The AIBC disclaims any responsibility as to the accuracy of published postings and reserves the right to remove/revise any posting, at its sole discretion, without prior notification.
