Architectural Technologist – Continuum Architecture Inc.

Job Description:

We’re looking for an experienced Architectural Technologist who can help turn our clients’ visions into built reality.

This is a senior role for someone who enjoys contributing through every stage of a project—from translating ideas into drawings, digital models and technical documents to supporting construction and seeing the completed project come to life.

The successful candidate will be a collaborative, approachable leader and skilled solution-finder who brings sound judgement, strong technical knowledge and careful attention to detail. Demonstrated experience leading project teams is essential. You will be responsible for guiding team members, coordinating consultants, maintaining quality and helping projects move forward successfully.

Qualifications:

• At least 10 years of Canadian architectural experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Part 3 & 9 of the BC Building Code.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and mentoring team members.
• Ability to organize project workflows, delegate responsibilities and oversee the quality and coordination of project documentation.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Excellent technical knowledge and demonstrated experience:
  • Preparing design drawings and Development Permit documentation.
  • Producing working drawings and construction details for tender and construction.
  • Conducting field reviews and preparing reports during construction.
  • Coordinating architectural work with consultant disciplines.
  • Liaising effectively with clients and Authorities Having Jurisdiction
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Architectural Technologist Diploma an asset.
• Must be registered with the AIBC.

Assets

• Diploma in Architectural Technology.
• Passive House, Built Green, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), or other relevant certification.
• Experience supporting staff development and contributing to continuous improvement in project standards and processes.
