Job Description:
We are looking to hire an in-person, full-time, intern architect to join our small team. You will collaborate with everyone on the team and report directly to both the project lead and the principal. As a boutique practice, each team member is expected to participate in all aspects and phases of the design process, project administration, and management of the practice.

We are looking for a new team member who:
- is an intern architect/ architect with a minimum of two years of relevant, postgraduate, professional experience,
- has an accredited architectural degree and is legally permitted to work in Canada,
- has experience in residential design and construction,
- is able to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously and in various phases,
- is proficient in Revit software and BIM workflows and project documentation,
- has experience developing detailed design and construction document sets,
- has knowledge of the BC Building Code and experience submitting permits,
- is able to work both independently and collaboratively,
- is interested in an in-person, long term position,
- is organized, motivated, able to prioritize, and is proactive,
- has excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communications skills,
- has refined visual presentation skills,
- has excellent drafting skills,
- has strong hand drawings skills,
- is well versed in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office,
- has strong rendering skills and experience with software such as Twin Motion,
- is engaged and interested in contributing to the overall culture and success of LKA,
- shares our ethos of designing sustainably in connection to site,
- is comfortable flying in a float plane and travelling by boat to our remote project sites.
