We are growing our team and are currently seeking an Architect.

As an Architect at CDA, you will participate in all phases of projects—from concept and schematic design through construction administration—bringing both design leadership and technical expertise. You will work closely with project teams and principals, contributing creative solutions, coordinating with consultants and authorities, and mentoring junior staff.

Job Description:

Qualifications:

  • Must be registered as an Architect with the AIBC.
  • Strong design sensibility with the ability to translate concepts into detailed, buildable solutions.
  • Experience with mid-rise and/or high-rise residential/mixed-use projects in Canada.
  • Experience with wood-frame projects in Canada is a plus.
  • Technical proficiency in BIM/Revit, construction documentation, and detailing.
  • Solid knowledge of building systems, codes, and construction processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with clients, consultants, and project teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentorship abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement design and technical solutions while maintaining design integrity through all project phases.
  • Coordinate design intent and documentation with consultants, clients, and government agencies.
  • Contribute to project performance relative to quality, schedule, and budget.
  • Prepare and/or supervise architectural plans, renderings, and specifications.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance with design intent and technical requirements.
  • Consult with manufacturers and evaluate materials, systems, and technologies.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, promoting team growth and collaborative work.
