Job Description:

About the Role

We are seeking a Junior–Intermediate Architectural Technologist to join our Vancouver office. This role is suited to a developing professional who is eager to build technical expertise while contributing to a range of project types.

You will support project teams through drawing production, consultant coordination, and participation in various phases of project delivery, with a focus on design development and construction documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of design development and construction drawings
• Support the coordination of consultant information into project documents
• Contribute to code reviews, site data collection, and project research
• Prepare and revise drawings using Revit and AutoCAD
• Assist with drawing coordination and quality control across disciplines
• Support contract administration tasks including shop drawing reviews, RFIs, and supplemental instructions
• Participate in site visits and assist with field review documentation
• Prepare record drawings as required

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would have the following attributes:

• Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology or related field
• 2–5 years of professional experience in an architectural practice
• Registration with AIBC as an Architectural Technologist AIBC (or working towards registration)
• Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD
• Familiarity with BC Building Code (BCBC), Vancouver Building Bylaw (VBBL) along with local bylaws
• Reasonable understanding of construction assemblies and building systems
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects
• Effective communication and a collaborative approach to teamwork

Assets:

• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Enscape, Bluebeam, and/or similar tools
• Exposure to a variety of project types (residential, commercial, industrial, institutional)
