Architect / Building Code Consultant, CP – McAuley Architectural Consulting Inc.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Code Consultant who has a background in architecture to join our team and contribute to exciting projects across British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert guidance on building code compliance and regulations throughout all project phases.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet applicable codes and standards.
• Conduct detailed code reviews and prepare compliance reports.
• Stay up-to-date on provincial and municipal building codes, with a focus on British Columbia regulations.
• Offer innovative solutions to resolve complex code-related challenges.

Qualifications:

• Professional experience as an architect or significant exposure to architectural projects.
• Certified Professional designation would be an asset; however, we are willing to work with the successful candidate to achieve this designation and develop this level of expertise.
• Strong understanding of building codes and standards in British Columbia.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Commitment to maintaining high professional standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must be registered with the AIBC, or eligible to be registered in the province of British Columbia.
• Hands-on experience with complex projects in British Columbia.
