Job Description:
As a Senior Design Coordinator, you would work alongside the Sector Leader, Design Principal, and Architects to lead the technical design and delivery of diverse Post-Secondary Education, Science, and Community (EdSciCom) projects. This role involves hands-on management, technical guidance, and creative direction on design-forward initiatives, while maintaining a strong focus on client service and high-quality project delivery. You will manage project documentation with oversight from the Project Lead and contribute to multiple projects at various stages and scales.

You will provide technical input on building systems, materials, and envelope detailing to meet both design intent and industry requirements. Writing and coordinating specifications to align with documentation is a key part of the role. Active participation in studio culture, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining strong relationships with engineers and clients are also important aspects of this position.
The role includes QA/QC responsibilities, implementation of milestone reviews, and a strong understanding of applicable codes and regulations, including the BC Building Code and Vancouver Building Bylaw. You will also assist with construction administration during CA phases, with guidance from the Project Lead, and perform additional duties as needed in support of the Practice and EdSciCom sector.
